Mongolia

Mongolia borders Russia to the North and China to the South. Among the Mongolians, leather boots rather than delicate silk footwear were the norm, even for noble women. In recent years, the Bata Shoe Museum has increased its collection of footwear from this part of the world through the efforts of field collector Ruth Malloy.
