One of only two known pairs in museum collections, this example of early 19th century Cree smoked moose hide moccasins with elaborately quilled aprons, is an exceptional treasure. The quillwork on the apron panel was done using a loom and is trimmed with three bands of bird quill wrapped piping expressing the incredible skill of the woman who created them.
