Moravia
Moravia, in what is now the Czech Republic, is world renowned for its rich diversity of traditional dress. Historically, each region celebrated community affiliation with its own distinctive costume. On wedding days, everyone wore his or her best clothes. For brides and grooms, weddings were an opportunity to both pledge fidelity to one another and to express their community fidelity through their costumes.
